1. Who Raiz is for

• 16 and older. The Terms of Service require it. We do not knowingly hold information about anyone younger, and an account we learn belongs to someone under 16 is closed and its data deleted.
• Named neighbors, one neighborhood. Signed-in neighbors see what you post under the display name you chose. Raiz never asks for a street address and never shows anyone's location to anyone.

2. What is never allowed

This applies on every surface, private chats between neighbors included, and it applies to real, drawn, edited and AI-generated material alike.

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any image, video, drawing or description that sexualizes a person under 18.
• Sexualizing a child in any other way: comments, jokes, requests, or ordinary photos shared with a sexual framing or intent.
• Grooming: an adult building trust with or pressuring a child for a sexual purpose, or trying to move a child to another app or into a meeting for that purpose.
• Sextortion: threatening a child to obtain sexual content, money or anything else.
• Trafficking: the sale, trade or advertising of a child for sex or labour.
• Reaching a child through Raiz: using a Job Board listing, an event, a connection request or a chat for any of the above. Child and family care listings can only be posted by a neighbor who holds the Verified badge, and every one of them carries a standing note that Raiz does not screen caregivers.

There is no warning and no second chance for any of this.

3. How Raiz looks for it

• Every post, comment, event and opinion goes through an automated check as it is sent, and again on every edit. The check refuses sexual content before anything publishes and flags whatever it is unsure about for a person to look at while it is up. It runs on the server, so a modified app cannot skip it.
• Photos on posts and comments, event banners, profile photos and pet photos are reviewed after upload and removed if they fail.
• Job Board listings are held for review before they publish.
• A person reviews the report and flag queue every day, weekends included.
• Private chats are not scanned. They are reviewed when reported, and a report attaches the recent messages so the reviewer sees what happened.

No automated check catches everything, which is why reporting matters.

4. How to report a child safety concern

• In the app. Open the three dots on any post, opinion, comment, event, question, answer, Job Board listing, chat or profile and choose Report. Pick the closest reason ("It targets or names a person" or "Something else") and say in the note that it involves a child. The report goes to a person, and the item leaves your view right away.
• By email, with or without an account. Write to hello@rhaeize.com with "Child safety" in the subject. It is read every day. Do not attach the material itself; tell us where on Raiz it is.
• If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. Raiz is not an emergency service.
• Online sexual exploitation of a child, on Raiz or anywhere else, can also be reported directly to Cybertip.ca, Canada's tipline, run by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection.

5. What happens when we find it

• The content is removed and the account is closed at once, and what it posted comes down with it.
• The material and the account's records are preserved for the authorities rather than deleted, for as long as the law requires, and are shared with nobody else.
• We report to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (Cybertip.ca), the organization designated under Canada's mandatory reporting law for internet services, and we notify police, the Vancouver Police Department or the RCMP, where there are reasonable grounds to believe a child is being abused or exploited, as that law requires.
• We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and child protection authorities.
• Nobody is ever penalized for a report made in good faith that turns out to be nothing.

6. The laws we follow

Raiz is operated by People Ventures Inc., a British Columbia company, and is available in Canada. We comply with the Criminal Code of Canada and with An Act respecting the mandatory reporting of Internet child pornography by persons who provide an Internet service (S.C. 2011, c. 4), including its duties to report, to notify police and to preserve evidence, and with the child safety policies of Google Play and the Apple App Store. If Raiz becomes available elsewhere, we will follow the reporting laws there as well.

8. Changes

We review these standards at least once a year and whenever the law or the app changes. The date at the top is the last change.
